Some of us want to avoid (or simply can't install) a rooftop or attic antenna, but with the 2009 switch to digital broadcasts the purchase of an amplified antenna became a nearly essential indoor addition. A borderline digital signal is unwatchable and many TV stations (mostly Fox) dropped the power on their signals during the changeover, making borderline signals all too common.

This antenna is a fine choice if you meet the following criteria:
1. You absolutely positively don't want or can't have an outdoor antenna.
2. You have strict prohibitions about how esthetically intrusive an indoor antenna can be in your living space.
3. You live in a flat area within 20 miles of your broadcast towers and you are having trouble with only one or two of your local digital channels.
